Good with Words: Writing and Editing
Good with Words:Writing and Editing is a course created by Professor Patrick Barry to help law students improve the way they draft and edit everything from research memos to pre-trial motions to appellate briefs. The written materials for the course are available for free online.
Professor Barry joined the Law School after earning his law degree from the University of Chicago—where he won the Wayne Booth Prize for Teaching Excellence—and his Ph.D. in English from the University of Michigan. He has created a similar "Good with Words" course that focuses on speaking and presenting.
The videos in the series have been filmed and edited by Brian Genoa.
