Vibe Board Guide: Home

This guide provides an overview of the Law Library's Vibe Board and instructions on how to use it.

Getting Started

Turning on the Vibe Board

To turn on the Vibe Board, simply press the power button on the Vibe Board or use the remote. Once the Vibe Board is on, tap the screen to go to the home screen. 

Using Apps

There are multiple different apps pre-downloaded onto the Vibe Board. These include Google Drive, Dropbox, and Vibe Canvas. While on the home screen, click on the app that you want to use. 

Vibe Canvas

Vibe Canvas is the Vibe Board's built in digital whiteboard app. While on Vibe Canvas you draw flowcharts, make notes, and upload pictures to the digital whiteboard. In addition to the whiteboard function, you can open PDF, Word, PowerPoint, and other documents directly in Vibe Canvas through your Google Drive and Dropbox accounts. While these documents are pulled up, you can write notes and highlight important passages with the Vibe stylus. Once you are make notes to your document, you can export it as a PDF.

Taking Notes with the Vibe Stylus

The Vibe stylus allows you to write notes on any document pulled up on the Vibe Board. To do this, you need to first grab one of the styluses at the Vibe Board. Next, tap the pen symbol on the bottom right hand of the screen. Now, you are able to write notes using the stylus. Once you are finished writing notes, you can save the document as an image file and upload it to your Google Drive to access it outside of the Vibe Board.

Screen Sharing With the Vibe Board

There are two ways to Screen share with the Vibe Board.

EShare 

EShare is an app created for you to use on your personal device in conjunction with the Vibe Board. You can download the app by clicking here. This app allows you to cast your computer screen onto the Vibe Board. It also allows you to interact with and annotate the shared content directly on the Vibe Board.

HDMI 

You can connect to the Vibe Board via HDMI cord by plugging in the cord into the HDMI port labeled "HDMI-IN." (This is the bottom-most HDMI port, not the one near the top near the USB ports.) Then grab the remote next to the Vibe Board and click the button labeled "OK." A table should appear with "Input Source" on the top left hand side. Scroll to the right of Input Source to HDMI. Click HDMI. You computer screen should now be appearing on the Vibe Board.

When using an HDMI cord to screen share, you are unable to interact with the Vibe Board. In this format, the Vibe Board is no different from any other monitor screen. Also, you can check out a HDMI cord from the Information Desk.
